Group 4: In the Classroom

Group 4 has been trying to go around to each classrooms and take photos .  Our end goal is to get group photos of all of the classes. You can see our first one one below. Be sure to check back on Thursday for more group photos!

Group 3: It’s All In the Brand

Our group dove in to the topic of branding and marketing. By watching videos and reading content, we became familiar with some of the basics of branding. We learned that a logo is more than just an image. It represents the idea behind the brand. Companies choose a simple collection of colors and fonts that can eventually become associated with that company in particular. For example everyone knows Coca-Cola is red and white.

High schools can also make a specific colors, logos, and text their own. As a group, we applied these skills to the Winterim17 brand. Along with the GRCHS staple colors, we made Winterim17 unique by adding gold. Continue reading

Group 2: Students Exploring Their Creative Sides

We’ve learned a lot from our Capturing Winterim class so far. Everyone has enjoyed being able to see how different people can discover all the different gifts that God has given us. We’ve researched how to portray ourselves on social media to interact with our community. Some things that we’ve learned from our teachers Andrew Prium and Megan Schroder are how to use Facebook to connect with the alumni and older side of our audience and also how to use social media that we’re familiar with in different ways. Our main focus has mostly consisted of exploring the school and visiting different classes to capture their experiences. We also have been trying to improve our current photography skills by experimenting with some of the settings on our cameras and/or phones. Some of our favorites are pictured below. Continue reading
